Families still recovering from Hurricanes Eta & Iota in Aldea Tenedores, Guatemala come to meet the WCK team each day to get fresh, comforting meals. Since the line can get long, we always make sure the elderly and children are served first! #ChefsForGuatemala
As Covid cases continue to rise, WCK is working to expand our Restaurants for the People program and relief efforts for families in need. This December, we'll be partnering with more restaurants in NYC, LA & Chicago (more cities soon!) w/ support from @Grubhub & @MarcusLemonis.
CEO of World Central Kitchen Nate Mook on providing jobs for out of work restaurant workers: “It’s really a win-win, because we can get food to those that are in need, and also support our restaurant industry right now.” #GivingTuesday
Our @WCKitchen Restaurants For The People program has put $130+ million directly into the hands of local restaurants...and delivered Millions of Meals to families! Now we need Congress to help keep this smart solution going...Thanks @HallieJackson for inviting @natemook on today!
In La Lima, WCK continues providing meals & fresh fruit to families cleaning up after the hurricanes. Thankfully, water levels that were at nearly 6 ft have gone down—but what is left is mud as hard as cement. Many people in the community have lost everything. #ChefsForHonduras
My friends! Reporting in with @WCKitchen from Providencia Island in Colombia! This is our “air bridge” of food support...for now meals are prepared by local business we support in nearby San Andres island & are flown here. Our team has vehicles at the ready to load up & deliver!
“Thank you—not only am I feeding the community, but you make it possible for me to feed my family.”

Anna reporting in from La Reina, Honduras where a landslide from the hurricanes destroyed an entire town that 2,000 people call home. Some heard the ground cracking before & left early—others were awaken & ran. Thankfully, no one was killed. We're here to support with fresh meals
The devastation is hard to comprehend — a community wiped away. We served shelters where families are staying & brought dry goods, cookware, shoes. We‘ll be talking with the Air Force tomorrow about sending more consistent food aid with helicopters because many roads are covered.
Jerson, Oneira & Fifi picked up hot plates of beef with rice & beans in Providencia. They told us about Hurricane Iota, or ‘idiota’ as they call it.
“It took everything from us. It killed cattle & dogs. It looks like the hurricane shaved off anything standing on the island.”
Lunch is served at a school-turned-shelter in Entre Ríos, Guatemala! 🇬🇹 Families are staying here due to flooding from Hurricanes Eta & Iota, so our Relief Team has been providing them with nourishing food from local restaurants we are supporting. #ChefsForGuatemala
Good Morning from @WCKitchen on Providencia...as you can see the destruction from the hurricane is everywhere...not 1 tree left. These climate disasters are happening more & more—and can happen to everyone! We must have readiness and leadership to move quick & support the people.

Meet Cynthia! 👋 She lives down the street from a WCK meal distribution site in Providencia. The first day we met her, she was shy while serving meals. By day two, Cynthia was waiting for us with her gloves on & she had organized a group of people to help! #ChefsForColombia
Larieth (in a WCK apron!) is helping serve meals for 500 people in the south of Providencia. This is where most of the population lives—many have been unable to leave & now live in tents or shelters. Today's menu: Baked potatoes with chicken & veggie chop suey! #ChefsForColombia
